Octal Philippines Inc. is seeking a dedicated Field Technical Support professional to provide comprehensive on-site technical assistance to clients. The role involves preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, and timely resolution of technical issues related to IT assets including laptops, desktops, tablets, and printers. Responsibilities: Conduct preventive maintenance for IT assets (laptops, desktop PCs, tablets/iPads, and printers). Perform physical inspections and cleaning of devices to ensure optimal functioning. Carry out system health checks and update operating systems and firmware regularly. Manage software patching and antivirus monitoring to maintain security and performance. Maintain printers and update printer drivers as needed. Perform performance testing and document preventive maintenance activities. Provide timely technical support and escalate issues when necessary. Qualifications and Skills: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field. Experience in technical support, preferably in a field service role. Strong knowledge of hardware, software, and networking principles. Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving capabilities. Effective communication and customer service skills. Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks effectively. Willingness to travel to various client locations as required.
