OVERVIEW:

A leading healthcare organization is seeking a Field Technical Support Specialist to provide onsite technical assistance to healthcare testing sites and affiliated doctor’s offices across the NY/NJ region. This role is ideal for a hands-on IT professional who is comfortable supporting users in a clinical setting and can travel between locations.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • 1–3 years of technical support or desktop support experience
  • Working knowledge of PC hardware and web-based systems; Mac experience is a plus
  • Strong troubleshooting skills and a customer-service mindset
  • Reliable personal vehicle and valid driver’s license (mileage reimbursed)
  • Comfortable working in a healthcare environment and interacting with clinical staff
Responsibilities
  • Provide onsite support for computer hardware, printers, and web-based applications
  • Diagnose and resolve technical issues related to workstations, networking, and healthcare testing systems
  • Support clinical staff (primarily phlebotomists) with daily technical challenges
  • Interface with in-house personnel and remote IT teams to escalate and resolve issues
  • Maintain, set up, and troubleshoot hardware used in labs and doctor’s offices
  • Travel to multiple client sites across Passaic, Bergen, and the greater New York metro area
