POSITION OVERVIEW:

RWDI is seeking an accountable individual to join its Air Emissions Testing team as a Field Technician – Ambient Air in our Guelph office.
This is a full-time, permanent position.
The role includes but is not limited to:
Performing regular calibrations and maintenance on ambient air quality and meteorological instrumentation
Following all standard operating procedures and manufacturer recommendations while calibrating, repairing, and maintaining instrumentation
Troubleshooting instrumentation failures and resolving problems quickly to maximize data uptime
Maintaining records of instrument maintenance, calibrations and parts required for continuous operation of ambient monitoring stations
Analyzing and consolidating air quality data sets, as well as preparing reports and responding to regulator comments
Occasionally interacting with clients, regulators, and the public while performing field work
Working in a fast-paced environment and carrying out tasks with minimal supervision

WE ARE ACCEPTING APPLICATIONS FROM CANDIDATES WITH THE FOLLOWING QUALIFICATIONS:

Post-secondary education in Environmental Technology or Instrumentation Technology
Minimum 1-year experience working in the Air Quality field
Ambient monitoring experience is an asset
Strong computer and analytical technical “hands-on” skills
An aptitude for practical problem solving
Field/site experience is a definite asset
