GENERAL DESCRIPTION

Under the direction of the Chief Operations Officer, the Down Hole Tool Field Technician will provide field services by running down hole tools, consulting on site regarding company tools and products. Ensuring tools are run to company standards.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS

  • Is an asset to have minimum one year experience working on a drilling or service rig, or one year direct tool running experience in field
  • Rig Technician Certificate considered an asset
  • Ability to read blue prints
  • H2S, WHMIS, First Aid, TDG as required
  • Valid Drivers License, Driver’s abstract required
    Job Types: Full-time, Permanent
    Pay: $90,000.00-$180,000.00 per year

Responsibilities
  • Performs or directs field services at customer worksites.
  • Assist in tool assembly in the shop while not in the field
  • Prepare and deploy downhole tools and surface tools
  • Provide technical assistance and trouble shooting to site operators
  • Maintain customer relationships.
  • Conduct daily Field Level Hazard Assessments (FLHAs) on site as required by customers and HSE program.
  • Complete field tickets.
  • General shop duties to include housekeeping and other duties as assigned.
  • Operate and maintain company vehicles.
  • Assist in tool assembly, dis-assembly and testing.
  • Work in conjunction with the Quality Control/Assurance Department to ensure a consistent and quality product.
  • Work in conjunction with the HSE and HR departments to promote a safe working environment and feedback on training needs both internally and externally.
  • Development of standard operating procedures for field services.
