WHO WE’RE LOOKING FOR:

We’re looking for candidates with the desired skills and experience

Telecommunication supplier & provider experience is desirable

  • Experience with Nokia BTS configuration, commissioning, and integration
  • Experience with Optus, Telstra and VHA installations standards
  • Experience with customer service installation and activation
  • Experience with Field/Site surveys, equipment and installations procedures
  • National Full Driving License, 4WD experience is bonus
  • Ability to read design documents
  • Ability to communicate clearly with remote support engineers
  • White Card and First Aid is Must

DESIRABLE SKILLS:

  • ACMA Cabling license
  • A Grade Electrician Certificate
  • Use of Gas detector and RADHAZ training
Responsibilities

ABOUT THE ROLE:

Due to expansions within our Network Field Division, we are looking for experienced Field Technicians Nationally.

ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

The key responsibilities of this role are to support pre-installation audits, installation & decommissioning of Network Termination Units (NTUs) to support customer and mobile services upgrades supporting voice, data and IP products.

  • Undertake audits prior to any infrastructure and/or equipment installation.
  • Perform rod and roping if required
  • Install, configure and integrate core network equipment.
  • Perform cabling, patching and jumpering of transmission according to the design layout.
  • Decommission and Recovery of network equipment
  • On-site troubleshooting, fault detection and fibre splicing &testing.
  • Perform work in accordance with technical and operational specifications and standards.
  • Preparation of documentation as required including as-built documents
  • Maintenance of records, log books and other documents as required.
  • Perform all work in compliance to Workplace Health and Safety (WHS) requirements and standards
