Job Description We’re looking for a Field Technician / Electrician to join our Operations team, based in Gore and supporting clients throughout Southland. In this role, you’ll be responsible for the installation, commissioning, servicing, and support of HALO’s cutting-edge monitoring systems. You’ll work closely with customers to ensure equipment runs smoothly, efficiently, and safely, providing exceptional on-site service and representing the HALO brand with professionalism and care. You’ll also play a key part in continuous improvement, feeding back field insights, refining processes, and helping us deliver even better results for our clients. Your day-to-day will include: Installing, commissioning, and servicing HALO Systems solutions Troubleshooting hardware and software issues in the field Ensuring compliance with EWRB, OSH, and HALO quality standards Maintaining accurate records and documentation of service work Providing clear communication and technical support to customers Contributing to a strong safety and quality culture Qualifications You’re a practical problem solver who enjoys hands-on technical work and customer interaction. You take pride in doing the job right, safely, efficiently, and to a high standard. You’re also curious and eager to keep learning about emerging tech and connected systems. To succeed in this role, you’ll bring: A current EWRB registration (Electrician or Electrical Service Technician) Strong understanding of NZ electrical standards and compliance requirements 1–3 years’ experience in a field service, electrical, or technical support role Sound fault-finding and diagnostic ability Confidence working with hardware, software, and networked systems (experience with IoT, sensors, or PLCs a plus) A full NZ driver’s licence and flexibility to travel to customer sites Additional Information Why HALO?
