Description ARM Group LLC is seeking a Field Technician, who will collaborate with a team of multi-disciplined engineers and scientists, project managers, and other staff to provide a wide range of field based geophysical data collection services during the design, study, implementation, and/or construction phases of projects related to environmental cleanup, water resources, mine & quarry, geotechnical, and natural gas. Primary Responsibilities: Participate in geophysical field investigations. Operate borehole geophysical equipment to collect well logging and imaging data. Collect surface geophysical data using EM31, EM61, magnetometer, seismic, electrical resistivity imaging, ground penetrating radar (GPR), radio detection utility locating tools, and gravity. Download data loggers and equipment; verify field data. Operate differential global positioning system (GPS) equipment. Prepare daily field reports and test summaries documenting the work being performed. Collaborate with other team members to meet deliverables on projects and obtain further knowledge and experiences. Effectively communicate with key stakeholders including project managers, project engineers, and other members of the project team. Requirements High School Diploma or equivalent. Possess excellent analytical problem-solving skills. Team orientated with the ability to perform independent hands-on fieldwork. A self-starter possessing strong communication and organizational skills. Valid Driver's license in good standing required. Preferred Requirements: OSHA 40-hr HAZWOPER, MSHA Surface Mining and/or Safeland training preferred. Bachelor’s degree in Geology or related field. Physical Requirements: Requires travel to job sites including out of the local area overnight stays. Ability to lift 75 pounds on a regular basis. Desire to work outside in all climates and conditions. This is a safety sensitive position. Ability to operate a motor vehicle safely without restrictions on a daily basis. Ability to walk and stand continuously throughout the day, often on uneven surfaces with frequent bending and stooping – 8-10 hours per day.
