Shape We are seeking experienced and performance-driven Field Technicians (based in Louisiana and Texas) to support the growth and execution excellence of Rizon’s chemical services. This field-based position plays a vital role in ensuring our chemical programs deliver measurable results for refinery clients. You will be hands-on with equipment, chemicals, and testing—making sure our systems perform to the highest standards and meet key KPIs. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES · Operate, maintain, and troubleshoot chemical feed and monitoring equipment at client sites. · Conduct field testing to ensure chemical systems are delivering targeted performance outcomes. · Manage on-site chemical inventory to ensure supply reliability and accuracy. · Collect and analyze data to verify systems are meeting client KPIs. · Partner with the Rizon technical team and refinery personnel to drive continuous improvement. · Document activities, testing results, and performance metrics in a clear and timely manner. · Serve as a professional, safety-minded representative of Rizon in all activities Requirements QUALIFICATIONS · 2+ years of refining or chemical plant experience · Technical aptitude and problem-solving skills; ability to work with pumps, meters, and field equipment. · Strong attention to detail with a focus on safety, accuracy, and performance. · Ability to work independently in the field while communicating effectively with teammates. · Willingness to travel locally and regionally as required. · High school diploma or equivalent required; technical training or associate’s degree a plus. · Flexibility to work rotating shifts, weekends, or be on call, depending on site requirements. Preferred: · Associates degree or technical certification · Knowledge of chemical dosing systems · Lab experience Working Conditions / Physical Demands · The Company requires a pre-employment physical in which an objective medical professional will determine whether you can safely meet the physical demands of the role. · Duration of Workhours: · Typically, 12 continuous hours that may extend up to 16 – 18 hours if an emergent need exists, for up to 14 days in a row. · Day shift and/or night shift · Working Conditions: · Uneven or unstable ground, and wet, muddy, or slippery surfaces and footings. · Outside locations in extreme temperatures and weather conditions including wind, rain, snow, and other forms of inclement weather. · Routine, intermittent exposure to noise more than 85 dBA-TWA. · Environments that may necessitate the use of respiratory protection for the shift duration o Half-face, full-face, and / or supplied air o Medical clearance to use respiratory protection is required o Quantitative fit testing for specific respiratory protection is required · Physical Demands: · Work at heights up to 150 ft/ 45 m accessed via stairs, climbing ladders, or critical lifts by cranes. This requires an ability to climb ladders and stairs without issue. · Lifting and carrying up to 40 lbs., without assistance. · Pushing / pulling up to 100 lbs., without assistance. · Standing and walking for up to 12 to 16 hours daily with minimal rest breaks. May exceed 10,000 to 15,000 steps per day. · Bending and stooping repeatedly and performing tasks including twisting or turning valves and using wrenches and hand tools. TRAVEL REQUIREMENTS · The position will be based at a client site with travel (approximately 20%) for training and internal meeting purposes.
