POSITION SUMMARY

We are seeking a hands-on, motivated Field Technician to join our expanding U.S. operations. You’ll be part of a dynamic team that installs and supports cutting-edge meat quality grading technology. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys technical field work, frequent travel, and working directly with clients in agricultural and processing environments.
You’ll spend 60–70% of your time traveling to sites across the U.S., with the potential for international deployments. The remaining time will involve remote system monitoring, reporting, and documentation.

QUALIFICATIONS

A High School Diploma or equivalent is required; a certificate or associate degree in engineering technology, ag-tech, electronics, or a related field is highly regarded.
Mechanical or electrical aptitude with experience in troubleshooting or field technician roles (internships count!).
Strong communication skills with the ability to train users with a range of technical skill levels.
A willingness and ability to travel extensively (60–70%, including overnight stays).
Must be able to work in varied environmental conditions, including heat, cold, and outdoor settings such as feedlots or processing plants.
Must be able to lift up to 75 lbs.
Valid driver’s license and U.S. passport (or ability to obtain one).
Proficiency in English is required; Spanish language skills are a plus.
Prior experience in agriculture, meat processing, or livestock industries is an advantage but not essential.

Responsibilities

Install and Maintain Equipment: Set up MEQ systems in commercial processing environments and ensure ongoing performance.
Technical Troubleshooting: Identify and resolve mechanical, electrical, or software-related issues in the field.
Train End Users: Deliver in-person training to new operators, ensuring safe, effective use of the system.
Support Existing Clients: Provide ongoing support and remote assistance to clients using MEQ technology.
Data Collection & Reporting: Use MEQ’s software and systems to gather data and support product improvement efforts.
Documentation: Maintain accurate installation, maintenance, and training records.
