QUALIFICATIONS

  • High school diploma or GED required; technical training or certifications in IT, electronics, or related fields preferred
  • Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record (required)
  • Prior experience working with POS systems or similar hardware/software strongly preferred
  • Comfortable with basic networking (IP addressing, routers, cabling)
  • Strong problem-solving and mechanical aptitude
  • Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work in busy retail/restaurant environments
  • Must be reliable, punctual, and capable of working independently in the field

Responsibilities

ABOUT THE ROLE

We are looking for a skilled and reliable Field Technician to join our team, specializing in Point of Sale (POS) and liquor control systems installation, maintenance, and support. In this role, you’ll travel to customer sites to install new POS systems, perform troubleshooting, and provide technical support to businesses in the hospitality and retail sectors.
This position requires regular local/regional travel and participation in a rotating on-call schedule every third week for emergency service requests.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Install, configure, and support POS systems and peripheral equipment (liquor control, receipt printers, barcode scanners, cash drawers, etc.)
  • Diagnose and resolve hardware, software, and network-related issues on-site
  • Perform maintenance and upgrades on POS systems
  • Maintain clear and accurate records of service calls and installations
  • Provide excellent customer service and technical support to end users
  • Be available for after-hours service during on-call weeks (evenings and weekends, every 3 weeks)
  • Keep vehicle inventory organized and stocked with necessary parts and tools
  • Ensure compliance with company policies and safety procedures
