The Field Technician is responsible for the successful execution of in-field installations, maintenance, customer installations, and customer support.  ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:   The Field Technician is responsible for installing, maintaining, and troubleshooting network infrastructure while supporting daily field operations and service delivery. This role combines hands-on technical work with coordination, quality assurance, and escalation support to ensure reliable network performance and excellent customer experience.  * Install, maintain, and troubleshoot fixed wireless, fiber, and structured cabling infrastructure across residential, commercial, and multi-dwelling unit (MDU) environments  * Deploy and support wireless access points, routers, and switches, including Ruckus, Cambium, and Juniper equipment  * Perform network testing and troubleshooting related to connectivity, low-voltage cabling, and fiber optics  * Pull, terminate, test, and certify Cat5/5e/6/7 and fiber optic cabling; dress communication closets, MDFs, and IDFs  * Rack, stack, and configure network equipment; support MDF/IDF diagnostics and repairs  * Conduct site surveys, launch assessments, WiFi heat mapping, and post-installation quality control  * Oversee daily field activities including installations, maintenance, service calls, and network upgrades  * Ensure work orders and service requests are completed on time and to quality and safety standards  * Resolve escalated technical and service issues promptly and professionally  * Conduct site audits, inspections, and post-project reviews to maintain compliance and performance standards  * Collaborate with engineering, customer support, sales, and other teams to align field activities with organizational goals  * Manage regional tools, inventory, and equipment to support efficient field operations  * Support training, mentoring, and development of technicians and service personnel  * Monitor service quality and contribute to continuous improvement of field processes and customer experience  * Participate in an on-call rotation to provide 24/7 field support for urgent troubleshooting and repairs  * Work safely in all environments and weather conditions, adhering to company safety policies and reporting violations as required  REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:   * High school diploma or equivalent  * 2-3 years experience as a Wireless Tower/Low Voltage/Cable Technician  * Valid Driver’s license  PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:  * Experience installing and maintaining wireless, fiber optic, and structured cabling systems  * Ability to install antennas, waveguides, microwave dishes, switches, WAPs, and wireless routers (e.g., Juniper, Ruckus, Cambium)  * Familiarity with RF technologies and Wi-Fi/WiMAX networks  * Experience working with fiber, AC/DC power, and low-voltage cabling  * Proficient with hand tools, mechanical equipment, and basic computer applications (Excel, Word, Outlook)  * Strong troubleshooting skills for network and connectivity issues  * Comfortable working at heights, in confined spaces, and in inclement weather; tower climbing experience preferred  * OSHA 10 certification preferred  * Strong work ethic with good communication, documentation, and customer service skills  BENEFITS:  * Health Insurance  * Vision insurance  * Dental insurance  * Long Term Disability  * Life Insurance  * Paid Time Off  * Monthly Cell Phone Reimbursement  SCHEDULE:  * Full-time  * 8 Hour Shift  * Day Shift  * Monday to Friday  * On Call  * Overtime  * Weekends  Pay Range: $25.00 - $30.00 Per Hour  Location: Orlando, FL  Gigstreem is an equal opportunity employer.
