Description Brockington and Associates is seeking field technicians based in our Savannah, GA office for archaeological project work throughout the US. This is a full-time, permanent position. Base wages are $17.00 per hour, commensurate with experience, with additional pay on certain projects. Minimum education: BA/BS in archaeology, anthropology, history, or historic preservation. Minimum experience: At least six weeks total of fieldwork as part of a university sponsored field school or project under the supervision of an archaeologist that meets the Secretary of Interior qualifications for a Principal Investigator, or equivalent experience. Job responsibilities include conducting shovel testing and/or other unit excavations, basic artifact identification, note-taking, recording soil and other observations, field photography, use of handheld GPS devices, and general tasks under the direction of the lab supervisor. Work schedule will include 40-hour weeks. No overtime is expected on these assignments. When travel is required (most projects) we pay travel time and provide vehicles or airfare, as well as single-occupancy hotel rooms and meal allowance. Brockington is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
