Description

Job Information This is a heavy equipment machine operator position; specifically, compact loaders, excavators, work machines and UTV’s, etc. Machines are operated at a proving grounds in a controlled test environment performing duty cycles to simulate customer usage in an accelerated manner.Role & Responsibility • Operate test machines in a safe, efficient manner in compliance with safety rules and regulations. • Operate test machines in accordance with engineering standards or as directed by leads or test engineers. • Perform and document “pre-op” and “end of shift” activities of assigned test machines. • Machine washing (interior, under-cab, exterior, engine compartment) as assigned. • Achieve 7 hours of machine run time per shift. • Perform site projects (maintenance, repairs, etc.) as assigned. • Complete MSHA New Miner and Annual Refresher Training.Job Requirement • Heavy equipment or forklift experience • Physically able to get in and out of the machines, grease, change attachments, replace bucket teeth, etc. • The ability to communicate in both written and verbal forms. • Willingness and ability to work in adverse weather and solitude conditions performing routine, repetitive and mundane tasks • Willingness and ability to learn, follow instructions and accept Bobcat’s methods • Job specific skills, techniques and safe work and equipment operating practices are learned through on-the-job and classroom training • General instructions are given on recurring duties, operations, or assignments; detailed instructions are given on new duties, operations, or assignments

Responsibilities

The operator will safely and efficiently operate test machines in a controlled environment, performing duty cycles to simulate customer usage. Responsibilities also include documenting machine activities and performing maintenance tasks as assigned.
