You will be part of the Service Organization in Vestas Service Offshore NCE, based in the Offshore Service Cluster 1 DK & DE. We are currently looking for Field Trainers for the new V236-15MW Turbines, both Offshore and Onshore.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Completed electrical or mechanical degree from a technical school/college/university i.e. Marine Engineer or similar
  • It will be an advantage if you have a relevant professional experience (electrical or mechanical) and preferably previous experience as a Field Trainer, Lead Supervisor/ Lead Technician, Service Technician/ Trouble shooter, Commissioning Supervisor or similar in Vestas or you might have a relevant background from the Wind Business or similar
Responsibilities
  • As a V236 Field Trainer / V236 Technician, you will be responsible for training and coaching your colleagues on how to operate the new game-changing V236-15MW Turbines. During your first year, you will gain hands-on experience by Operating the V236-15MW Test Turbine in western Jutland, Thyborøn, DK and being part of the initial builds and tests of the V236’s nacelles in our Nacelle Assembly facility at Lindø, Denmark. You will also join the Prototype Testing Facility in Østerild.
  • You will undergo Vestas technical training at our training facilities in Denmark, along with field training alongside your colleagues. As one of the first lead technicians/field trainers working on this new platform, you will help guide the successful operation of these turbines.
  • The role requires working in a shift pattern, with an average of 2 weeks on and 2 weeks off, 12 hours per day. However, there may be other shift patterns during the introduction year, as you gain experience assembling nacelles in our factories, testing prototypes, and operating test turbines in the northern part of Denmark.
  • After your first year in Denmark, you will be expected to travel to the first commercial projects in Germany. As a Field Trainer, you will continue to coach your colleagues in operating wind turbines in the field. Although we will remain to have activities in Denmark as part of your job too.
  • On weather days, you will be expected to provide additional field training to your coworkers, helping them develop their technical competencies.
