VACANCY ADVERTISEMENT: FIELD TRAINING SPECIALIST PRODUCTIVITY - TRUCK Lumwana Mining Company is seeking to recruit a highly committed individual for the position of Field training Specialist Productivity - Truck to join the versatile Human Resources department. We are in search of an individual who can champion Barrick's DNA by: Communicating Honestly, Transparently, and Acting with Integrity Exhibiting a Results-Driven approach Delivering solutions that are Fit for Purpose Dedicating themselves to Building a Sustainable Legacy Taking Responsibility and being Accountable Committing to Zero Harm Cultivating strong and meaningful Partnerships Reporting to Senior Training Specialist, you will be responsible fordesigning, delivering, and evaluating training programs that improve the operational performance of mobile equipment operators, supervisors, and frontline mining personnel. This includes analysing operational data, identifying performance gaps, delivering targeted coaching, and implementing productivity improvement strategies to support safe, efficient, and cost-effective mining operations. Your duties will include but not limited to the following: Design and deliver productivity-focused training for equipment operators (Load & Haul, Ancillary, Auxiliary equipment, and other relevant fleets). Conduct on-the-job coaching sessions to improve cycle times, equipment utilisation, fuel efficiency, and operator discipline Train operators on effective payload management, spot-on time, dig-to-dump cycles, and queue reduction. Coach supervisors in productivity leadership, MOS (Management Operating System), and shift optimisation techniques Review dispatch data, cycle times, idle times, queue times, and utilisation KPIs to identify performance gaps. Collaborate with Dispatch and Mine Operations Control to interpret operator behaviour and equipment performance trends. Conduct field audits, time-in-motion studies, and performance observations to validate improvement opportunities. Recommend interventions to address productivity losses Assess operator competence with focus on both safety and productivity metrics. Maintain accurate competency records for operators and supervisors. Recommend further coaching or reassessment where improvement is required To be considered for the position, you must meet the following requirements: G12 Certificate Certificate IV in Training and Assessment or Diploma in Training & Assessment, Training & Development, or equivalent. 3–5 years’ experience in mining operations Train-the-Trainer or Assessor Certification (mandatory). Mine operations or Mobile Equipment Operation certification (advantage). Valid Light Vehicle Licence.
