Job Details Level: Entry Job Location: Facility - Fresno, CA 93728 Position Type: Part Time Salary Range: $18.50 - $20.35 Hourly General Purpose This seasonal position will last from February 2026 to July 2026 and is responsible for providing an excellent experience for all organizations that are interested in visiting the zoo for a self-guided visit. We are pleased to offer this Part-time position an Employee Assistance Program, 401k, Paid CA Sick time on an accrued basis. The pay range for this position is $18.50 - $20.35 per hour. Offers will be based on the successful candidate's experience. Essential Accountabilities Provide field trip pricing and information for any organization interested in visiting the zoo. Prepare and organize supplies groups will need during their zoo visit. Check in, collect payment, and distribute supplies to groups on the day of their visit. Be available to assist groups throughout their visit Assist the experience stations at giraffe feeding and stingray bay as needed. Track inventory of all field trip supplies Connect our guests to the mission of the zoo. Ability to interact with Zoo guests in a friendly, professional manner at all times. Accuracy and attention to detail in all aspects of work. Perform other duties as assigned. Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent required. Minimum two years’ experience in a customer service role, including cash-handling responsibilities. General knowledge of accounting procedures preferred. Excellent written and verbal English communications skills required. Bilingual (Spanish or Hmong) communication skills a plus. Proficient with Microsoft Office PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS These are physical and mental requirements of the position as it is typically performed. Hand and finger dexterity to receive and count paper money and coins and operate a cash register. Ability to receive detailed information through oral communication (in person and via telephone), at normal speaking levels with or without correction. Expressing or exchanging ideas by means of the spoken word. The employee must convey detailed or important spoken information to others in small and large group settings. WORK ENVIRONMENT The position functions indoors and outdoors, exposing to environments with heat, cold, and inclement weather. The position may work in close proximity to Zoo animals. Ability to work evenings, weekdays, weekends, and holidays. Occasional local travel may be required.
