QUALIFICATIONS

  • Exceptional on-site camera operator with strong instincts for capturing action, people, and environments in fast-paced settings

  • Charismatic and confident communicator – especially when working with tradespeople who aren’t always used to being on camera
  • Highly proficient with Adobe Premiere Pro & Creative Cloud Applications including Lightroom, and other industry-standard photo/video editing tools
  • Skilled in motion graphics or animation for short-form content (e.g., reels, ads,)
  • Up-to-date knowledge of AI tools for media creation and editing, with the ability to integrate them into production workflows for increased efficiency and creativity
  • Able to balance speed and quality – you work fast without sacrificing the final deliverable
  • 2+ years of experience in video and photo production, preferably working with businesses or in an agency environment
  • 2+ years of experience strategically laying out content plans to maximize shoot efficiency and deliverables
  • Experience managing and organizing raw file databases, with an understanding of the importance of timely offboarding and archiving footage
  • Proficient with Google Drive and Google Workspace tools (Docs, Sheets, Slides, etc.) for collaboration, file sharing, and project organization
  • Bonus: Own your own vehicle, camera equipment, and drone (and have a valid drone license)
Responsibilities
  • Own the full lifecycle of media production – from on-site shooting to editing and delivering high-quality photo and video content for clients across Canada and the U.S.
  • Plan, shoot, and edit content that captures the authentic, hard-working energy of trades-based businesses in diverse industries and locations
  • Travel frequently for on-site shoots with confidence and professionalism, working closely with business owners and teams to bring their brand stories to life
  • Represent Blue Collar Marketing with charisma and enthusiasm – you’ll be interacting directly with tradespeople and need to bring the right energy to get the best shots and make clients feel at ease
  • Efficiently manage post-production workflows for both photo and video projects, ensuring fast turnaround times while maintaining brand consistency and creative quality
  • Collaborate with internal teams (account managers, designers, editors) to brainstorm creative direction and deliver polished, high-converting visual assets for websites, social media, and advertising
  • Stay on top of trends in visual storytelling, editing techniques, and gear to continuously level up our production standards
  • Report directly to our Digital Content Specialist to align on project priorities, creative direction, and timelines
