  ESS provides multi-service capability to major companies and organisations operating in remote sites, gold mines and coal fields. We provide vital workplace support for people working some of the most isolated terrains in the world, from oil rigs in the North Sea to gold mines in the Australian Outback.
  Employed to prepare, cook, and serve good quality food for our residents. Our Chefs must ensure that all tasks associated with food production, including preparing, cooking and presenting food are performed with due regard for Food Safety regulations and adherence to Our Safety Culture behaviours.

The Position

• Prepare and cook a diverse range of dishes to high standards, considering dietary requirements and guest preferences.
• Maintain a clean and organised kitchen workspace, following Compass Group Australia food safety protocols, including knowledge of HACCP principals.
• A strong understanding of various cooking methods, ingredients, and flavour combinations is essential.
• Ensure consistent quality, taste, and presentation of all food.

The Person

• A minimum of Certificate III in Commercial Cookery or Trade Certificate is essential.
• Excellent organisational skills to manage multiple tasks efficiently and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
• Knowledge of food safety standards and culinary techniques in high volume catering, including bulk catering and function/banquet experience
• Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work well within a team.
