SKILLS AND EXPERIENCES:

To be successful in your application you will possess the following:

  • Bachelor’s degree, diploma or certificate IV in Workplace Health and Safety
  • Minimum 3 years of progressive Health & Safety experience within facilities management, mining or civil earthworks projects.
  • Completed Certificate IV in Training and Assessment (at least 40116)
  • Completed Incident Investigation qualification (ICAM) qualification
  • Current WA manual driver’s licence.
  • In-depth knowledge of workplace health and safety legislation and industry regulations.
  • Proven ability to develop and implement safety policies and procedures.
  • Experience in conducting ICAM investigations.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to assess risk.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong computer skills including Microsoft Office suite.
  • Able to undergo a pre-employment medical, including drug & alcohol testing
  • Able to obtain a National Police Check
Responsibilities
  • Provide leadership and advice to site management on Health, Safety, and Environment processes and systems.
  • Liaise continually with PM, PE, SM and/or Site Superintendents through site communication processes to facilitate consistent site Health, Safety, Environment and Training compliance.
  • Report all HSET incidents, accidents and near misses to the HSET Manager.
  • Provide training as may be required in accordance with Eastern Guruma’s Health, Safety and Environment Management System.
  • Ensure delivery of all Health, Safety and Environment project plans. Support audits for Health, Safety, Environment and Training.
  • Deliver document and version control of Health, Safety and Environment material.
  • Provide input into process and procedure review for all Health, Safety, Environment and Training Systems.
  • Ensure accurate documentation and maintenance of training and assessment records for the Health, Safety, and Environment Management Systems.
