DESCRIPTION:

About the Role

  • Perform general labouring/sampler duties
  • Carrying out pre-start inspections on all machinery prior to use
  • Ensuring that all tooling is maintained and returned to its rightful location when not in use
  • Taking care of all plant and equipment provided and report all damage
  • Monitoring fuel and oil levels while the drill is in operation
  • Assistance with bore construction
  • Assist in monitoring of drilling equipment while drill is in operation
  • Assistance with setting up of ancillary equipment
  • Assistance with the development of mud pits and sumps
  • Drill and consumable sharpening and handling
  • Operation and administering water/fuel to drill rigs via support truck
  • Assist the driller and any maintenance personnel in servicing and repairs to equipment
  • Assist in camp duties such as cooking, cleaning etc.
  • Assist Site Administrators and Project Manager in general administration
  • Truck driving and operation of LV’s on site. Transporting other personnel around site. Moving plant, equipment and consumables around site
  • Loading and unloading of trucks
  • Cleaning and organising work areas

SKILLS AND EXPERIENCES:

Key Criteria

  • Must be Indigenous Australian living in Perth, Western Australia
  • Must have a current automatic or manual licence with no restrictions (HR licence highly desirable)
  • Labour experience in civil, construction or mining (highly desirable)
  • Experience in FIFO (highly desirable)
  • Willingness to complete pre-employment medical, laboratory drug & alcohol test as well as police check prior to employment
