Description
The Figleaf Sales Associate Provides customer service to all guests; runs the cash register; maintains inventory; and receives, prices and stocks merchandise. Answers telephone, utilizes electronic billing program to conduct patient registration, and schedule appointments with professionalism and utmost regard to HIPAA requirements. The Associate assists with/conducts mastectomy fittings, compression fittings and nursing bra fittings. Job Duties FigLeaf Boutique Associates: Fits prostheses and bras and customizes recommendations for mastectomy products with each patient. Fits nursing bras and shares knowledge and understanding of nursing products with customers. Works closely with lactation consultants and physician offices in dispensing the breast pump unit and breast pump accessories needed. Assists clients with wig fittings and as needed inform client on care and styling of wig. Customer Service: Greets customers in a friendly and professional manner. Interfaces with customers in an effort to assist them with a purchase and offer further suggestions to meet their needs. Enters new patient data and/or verifies patient records are up-to-date, confirms the completeness of the electronic health record and makes changes, as necessary. Accurately identifies and enters patient demographics, insurance, and financial information including in network and out of network benefits. Obtains patient identification and insurance cards. Scans appropriate information into patient's account. Consistently interacts with patients in a positive and compassionate manner. Verifies medical necessity in accordance with the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Service (CMS) standards of communicates relevant coverage and eligibility information to the patient. Scrutinizes all registrations to ensure that all necessary information is obtained, including but not limited to any necessary authorization, reach out to physician offices and/or insurance companies when needed. Interfaces with customers in an effort to assist them with a purchase and offer further suggestions to meet their needs. Verifies the validity of written orders, and accurately transcribes written orders. DME/Fittings: Responsible for fitting compression patients with correct garments. Works closely with internal and external offices to ensure needs are met. Responsible for fitting mastectomy clients with correct bra prosthesis and mastectomy bra(s). Works closely with Breast Health Specialist at the Community Cancer Center. Merchandising: Operates the cash register/Point of Sale System, maintaining accurate inventory and correct pricing by ensuring each item is scanned correctly during sales transaction. Merchandises product on the sales floor as directed. Cleans, displays and shelves and straightens merchandise on a routine basis. Monitors inventory for expiration dates. Receives, prices, and stocks merchandise. Department Accountabilities: Monitors store traffic and notifies manager or security if there is a suspicion of shoplifting. Maintains a positive and productive working relationship with other members of the department. Participates in cross-training for work in the other stores and rotates to other stores, as needed. Schedules appointments in Epic. Utilizes Epic work queue to pre-register scheduled patients.
