Description We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized individual to join our legal team as a Mail Assistant. This role specializes in monitoring incoming emails and filing associated documents within the case files. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in ensuring timely and accurate management of legal correspondence and documents, supporting our litigation projects. Additionally, there will be mail duty associated with this position, requiring the candidate to handle incoming and outgoing physical correspondence with the same level of precision and urgency as digital filings. Requirements Key Responsibilities Monitor incoming court emails on a regular basis. Identify and categorize emails based on their relevance to ongoing cases. File associated documents accurately within the respective case files. Scan documents received via email and distribute them to the appropriate parties within the legal team. Maintain electronic and physical filing systems to ensure easy access and retrieval of documents. Assist with other litigation projects as assigned by the supervising attorney or legal team. Knowledge, Skills & Attributes Prior experience in a legal support role or administrative position preferred. Familiarity with legal document management systems and email platforms. Strong organizational skills and attention to detail. Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal. Ability to prioritize tasks and manage time effectively in a fast-paced environment. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and other relevant software applications. Ability to handle confidential information with discretion and professionalism.
