Ventia is on the lookout for a dynamic and experienced Field Lead to join our Defence Base Services team in Darwin. If you’re passionate about people, performance, and purpose-driven work, this is your opportunity to make a real impact supporting Australia’s Defence infrastructure.
This role is based at Robertson Barracks, where you’ll lead with confidence, coordinate with precision, and foster strong relationships across trades, subcontractors, and Defence stakeholders.

• Take charge of first-response coordination for Estate Upkeep outages—keeping assets operational and teams informed.
• Supervise and support subcontractors, ensuring safety, quality, and compliance.
• Champion the Ventia Permit to Work System, conducting audits and confirming operational processes.
• Collaborate on project quality control, validating work scope and assessing value for money.
• Facilitate smooth site access—organising inductions, maps, drawings, and escorts.
• Build trusted relationships with Defence clients and customers, becoming a key liaison on base.
• Keep systems updated with accurate, timely information.
• Be ready to step in and support the Infrastructure Services Manager with additional tasks as needed.
