Description St. Paul Academy and Summit School seeks candidates for the position of Film & Frolic Camp Counselor. Position Overview Film & Frolic Camp Counselors play a vital role in creating a welcoming, creative, and energetic camp environment for rising 6th- through 9th-grade campers. Counselors help lead film-based projects, interactive games, and hands-on activities while ensuring campers feel supported, included, and excited to participate each day. This position is ideal for students who enjoy storytelling, creativity, teamwork, and working with younger children. Position Begins: Jun 8th-12th, 2026 & Jun 22nd-26th, 2026 Salary: Starts at $17 an hour Primary Responsibilities Supervise and actively engage a group of campers throughout the camp day Assist in leading film-related activities (storyboarding, acting, filming, simple editing, etc.) Facilitate games, movement breaks, and team-building activities Support campers in developing creative ideas and working collaboratively Ensure a safe, inclusive, and positive environment for all participants Model leadership, responsibility, and respect at all times Assist with daily set-up, clean-up, and organization of materials Communicate effectively with fellow counselors and camp leadership Requirements Qualifications Must be a rising 11th-grade or 12th-grade student at SPA Interest in film, media, theater, storytelling, or creative arts preferred Experience working with children is a plus Strong communication and teamwork skills Ability to take initiative and maintain high energy throughout the day Commitment to working at least one full week of camp to provide continuity and stability for campers Time Commitment Counselors must be available for at least one full week of camp. Consistent counselor presence helps campers feel comfortable, supported, and connected during their camp experience.
