Description
The CR Film Interpreter/Foreman is responsible for streamlining work assignments, providing day to day management and direct oversight and leadership of all NDE crews, performing interpretation of the results and generating inspection reports of Code images in accordance with code quality requirements found in API, ASME, AWS and client specified documents. This individual reports directly to the Inspection Coordinator. This position will be responsible for driving Kakivik's Mission, Vision, and Values, a crucial part of the strategic plan to drive success. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions. * Attend morning Meetings and provide inspection status updates to NDE coordinator, Data analyst, or Client QC. * Coordinate with RT crews and Film expeditors to ensure good workflow. * Ensure full utilization of information, procedures, and work methods. * Perform all tasks according to company and client safety guidelines and participate in weekly and pre-job/daily safety meetings. * Ensure inspection reports are completed and organized properly. * Perform radiographic inspections in assigned service, industrial, construction, and maintenance areas (as needed). * Familiarization with client specification inspection requirements. * Other Duties as assigned. KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES: * Skilled with computer software including MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, and Access). * Skilled with Carestream Industrex software for interpretation. * Knowledge of industrial safety cultures and safety minded. * Knowledge of API, AWS and ASME codes. * Knowledge of tools used in scope of work. * Ability to independently lead in a team environment. * Ability to work independently when needed. * Ability to communicate with other crafts and operators. * Alaska oil and gas industry experience. Qualifications REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS: High School Diploma or GED is required. * Current Level 2 certifications for CR RT 2 are required as per SNT-TC-1A. * A valid driver’s license with no restrictions  * Valid 40-hour radiation safety * Current IRRSP or State Radiographers Certification * Minimum 3 years supervisor or field lead experience. * Minimum 10 years as an NDE technician. * Pass a Background Check and Drug Screen. PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS: * Current Level 2 certifications in UT, MT and/or PT is preferred. * Current ASNT Level 2 certifications for RT utilizing and interpreting computed and digital radiography (CR) is preferred. * Current north slope training certification. WORK ENVIRONMENT: * Work involves near continuous use of the computer terminal and may require sitting for extended periods. Daily overtime may be required * Work extended hours in sub-zero temperatures (when needed in field). Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.   FUNCTIONAL CAPACITY EVALUATION (FCE) LEVEL 3. * MOBILITY: Must be able to access all controls and all parts of machinery for service.  Must be able to push/pull 50 pounds for 20 feet. * LIFTING: Must be able to routinely lift up to 50 pounds from floor to waist, 50 pounds from waist level to shoulder height and carry 50 pounds for 20 feet. * HEARING: Must be able to hear audible safety alarms. * VISUAL ACUITY: Must be adequate to perform above listed tasks in a safe manner and take hand signals from ground man or flag man. * RANGE OF MOTION: An objective range of motion measurements will be conducted and recorded using a five position and rapid exchange grip strength test during the pre-hire/post offer FCE.
