GMO will also perform an Advisory role partnering with the business and management to help deliver the firm-wide strategy. To achieve this GMO will leverage the latest Digital Innovation & Automation (DI&A) opportunities to optimize GMO’s efficiency and operating model. Key Responsibilities include:    Data Management:   Providing a complete and validated data set of transactional information, efficiencies in the production and proactive management of these data sets   Control:   Provide assurance on accuracy of firms financial statements through daily PL validation, Risk Model inputs, Proactive management of internal inventory and collateral obligations to ensure key liquidity / collateral requirements are optimized   Advisory:   Provide business support and oversight on new products/transactions, financial resources, liquidity management and trade bookings. Valuation Control is an integral part of the Product Control function where Independent Price Verification is performed. Under Independent Price Verification Price Testing and Reserve Calculation is done for various positions on Cash, Credit, Rates, FX and Commodity out of Powai  Role & Responsibilities:   Independent price verification of various products for SPG, Credit, Rates/FX & Equities for positions across Global Valuation team  Hands-on experience of BBG/YB/Intex and knowledge of MBS and other securitized products’ pricing desirable  Calculating the variances for portfolio vis-a-vis independent prices obtained through external market agencies or priced through in-house valuation models using external input/parameters  Help ensure that Nomura’s Balance Sheet presents a true and fair view of cash /derivative trading positions   Investigating significant variances and tolerance breaches, untested positions, heat maps & handling queries from trading related to valuation/prices provided   Involved in calculation of Bid Offer reserves across asset classes  Reporting and MIS pack preparation for Senior PC management, Front Office, Risk Management and Finance   Supervising and reviewing deliverable for the team along with normal BAU  Independently handling regular senior stakeholder communications and audit queries  Driving methodology consistency across regions for all asset classes & contributing to Global valuation transformation initiatives   Exhibit advanced domain, product and market knowledge   Possess excellent problem solving and communication skills   Work closely with a wide range of teams locally & globally across functions under tight deadlines   Good Python programming skills and hands on experience on Alteryx.      Mandatory Skill :   Demonstrates a good understanding (features & payoff) of financial products such as Forwards, Swaps, Futures & Options (including exotic options), and the relevant greeks and sensitivities involved Strong communication skills and attention to details   Knowledge of Database e.g.: SQL, MS Access   Strong Excel skills coupled with VBA and/or Python programming experience. Strong analytical skills   Desired Skill Set : Demonstrates an expert-level understanding of various pricing / valuation methodologies   Experience : 4-6 yrs  Qualification :MBA (Finance)/ CFA
