POSITION SUMMARY

Catalent is looking to recruit a Finance & Accounting Analyst to be an integral member of the Finance team which directly supports the New Product Development (R&D) o rganization along with Fixed Asset accounting for the Woodstock, IL facility.
The Finance & Accounting Analyst will be instrumental in financial planning & budgeting, accounting, project cost analysis, customer billing, internal controls, SOX compliance, preparing management presentation materials, and other ad-hoc analysis/support.
The Finance & Accounting analyst role is critical to our patients. This position is key in our efforts toward continuous improvement of our processes & information which will allow quality drug products to reach patients safely and efficiently. The candidate that will be successful in this role will possess these key traits: financial aptitude, integrity, change agent, and a team player!

Responsibilities:

  • Prepare monthly financial forecast and management presentation material for the R&D organization; oversee R&D departmental cost budget and prepare Annual Budget for R&D project costs
  • Coordinate with Business Development and R&D to review customer contracts to determine appropriate Revenue Recognition treatment of projects
  • Assist in the preparation of capital authorization requests (C.A.R.’s) and detailed justification analysis for operational projects
  • Conduct Fixed Asset physical inventory per policy and forecast depreciation expense
  • Ensure construction in progress account (CIP) is correct and test assets for impairment
  • Assist corporate finance in the development, adaptation, or revision of accounting systems to meet the needs of the site
  • Prepare accurate customer invoices for R&D projects and monthly close journal entries & balance sheet reconciliations
