This role oversees monthly closings, reconciliations, and inventory accounting in a high-volume retail environment. The position supports audits, ensures tax compliance, and provides financial insights to management. As part of Rappi, you will be responsible for: The Senior Accountant is responsible for ensuring the accurate execution of accounting and financial processes, in compliance with IFRS and internal company policies. This role oversees accounting records, reconciliations, accruals, and monthly closings, ensuring the reliability of financial information in a high-volume retail environment. The position involves analyzing accounts related to sales, inventories, costs, and expenses, identifying variances, and proposing improvements to strengthen financial control. The Senior Accountant also participates in the preparation of financial statements, management reports, and audit processes, while providing technical support to the accounting team and promoting efficiency and process automation. Good and now, what are the requirements for me to be part of this neon universe? Education: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting with a valid CPA license (or equivalent). Postgraduate studies or certifications in IFRS, Finance, or Auditing are desirable. Experience: At least 5 years of professional accounting experience, the retail. Proven experience in monthly closings, reconciliations, inventory, cost, and sales accounting. Experience supporting internal and external audits. Proficiency in ERP systems (SAP, Oracle, NetSuite, or similar) and advanced Excel skills. Technical Knowledge: Strong understanding of IFRS and local tax regulations. Solid experience in inventory control, cost accounting, and financial reporting. Ability to prepare and analyze financial statements and management reports. Core Competencies: Strong analytical skills and attention to detail. Results-oriented and deadline-driven. High ethical standards and commitment to accuracy. Effective communication and teamwork abilities. Proactive approach to identifying and implementing process improvements.
