JOB OVERVIEW

We are seeking a dedicated and results-driven Account Manager to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing client accounts, ensuring high levels of customer satisfaction, and driving business growth through effective financial management. This role requires strong leadership skills and a comprehensive understanding of financial services, including financial accounting, cost control, and financial planning.
The ideal candidate will have a crucial role within the business performing various accounting responsibilities and you must have experience in the accounting sector handling a turnover of £3.5M+. The coverage of this role will extend to providing accounting, along with potentially preparing statutory accounts.

EXPERIENCE

  • Proven experience in account management or a similar role within the financial services sector.
  • Strong knowledge of financial accounting principles, cost control practices, and financial planning methodologies.
  • Demonstrated leadership abilities with experience in managing teams or projects effectively.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to build rapport with clients at all levels.
  • Proficiency in relevant software applications for financial management and reporting is advantageous.
  • Previous experience working within a similar role is essential
  • AAT Level 2 minimum
  • Proven track record within Credit Control

    Annual Holiday Entitlement is 20 days per annum plus statutory holidays, which will increase by an extra day’s holiday for each continuous year of service following the first anniversary of employment and there after each January, up to a maximum of 5 additional day’s per annum.
    Additionally an attendance allowance will be paid of £50.00 per calendar month to employees who do not have an unauthorised or sickness day off during any particular month up to payment of the allowance. The attendance allowance will be paid with your November pay for all employees who have completed full employment up to and including the month of October.

Responsibilities
  • General Bookkeeping using Quickbooks
  • Purchase and Sales Ledger
  • Credit control, processing applications from new clients and issuing pro-forma invoices where required
  • Monthly Payroll
  • Compile timesheets using vehicle trackers
  • VAT returns and pension payments/allocations
  • Aged creditor reconciliation
  • Processing expenses and cash allocation
  • Assisting within the annual financial reporting for year end
  • Bank Reconciliations
  • Making weekly payments to suppliers
  • Managing and providing ad hoc administration including handling holiday allocations for 31 staff
  • Liaising with the managerial team for regular update meetings
