About the Role
We are a dynamic and fast-growing organisation seeking a versatile Finance & Administration Manager with strong credit control expertise to support our continued growth. This is a key position that combines hands-on finance operations, credit management, and administrative leadership. You will work directly with senior management, playing a pivotal role in streamlining processes, improving cash flow, and ensuring operational excellence across the UK office.
Key Responsibilities
1. Accounting & Financial Operations
· - Manage end-to-end client and supplier transactions (invoicing, payments, collections).
· - Oversee payroll, expense claims, and VAT application for client recharges.
· - Prepare monthly closings, forecasts, and reports to support strategic decisions.
· - Maintain rigorous financial controls and oversee indirect cost budgets.
2. Credit Control & Treasury
· - Lead all credit control activities including chasing debtors and resolving payment issues.
· - Perform regular bank reconciliations and maintain robust cash controls.
· - Produce and maintain 12-month rolling cash flow forecasts.
· - Liaise with senior leadership on financial requirements and investment strategy.
3. Tax Compliance & Reporting
· - Prepare and file quarterly VAT returns.
· - Liaise with external accountants/auditors to ensure statutory compliance.
· - Support annual financial statement preparation and audit processes.
4. HR & Payroll
· - Manage employment contracts and maintain employee records.
· - Coordinate payroll with external providers, ensuring tax and compliance obligations are met.
· - Oversee full employee lifecycle administration.
5. Office Management & Administration
· - Ensure smooth day-to-day operation of office systems (IT, premises, suppliers).
· - Provide personal assistant support to the Managing Director when required.
· - Drive process improvements in finance and administration.
6. Business Support & Strategy
· - Partner with the MD and shareholders on strategic initiatives and business development.
· - Monitor project budgets and profitability; provide financial insights and action plans.
· - Support cross-functional teams with finance and admin guidance.
Candidate Profile
· - Part-qualified (ACCA, ACA, CIMA) or equivalent essential
· - Degree in Finance, Accounting, or similar preferred
· - 8–10 years of relevant finance and administration experience
· - Advanced MS Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and experience with SAGE software
· - Confident communicator across all levels including executives and external partners
· - Strong analytical mindset with high attention to detail
· - Independent, organised, and proactive approach
· - Experience in a growing business environment is a strong advantage
