If that sounds like you, we'd love to talk! We’re seeking a Finance & Operations Manager to own the company’s day-to-day financial operations and administrative systems. This hands-on role is ideal for someone who enjoys variety and takes pride in being a utility player and keeping financial operations running smoothly. What You’ll Do Manage daily financial operations, including accounts payable, receivable, and expense tracking Oversee monthly close activities and maintain accurate general ledger records in accordance with GAAP Process weekly payroll and ensure accuracy of employee records, deductions, and reporting Partner with external accounting and audit firms to support compliance, reporting, and tax preparation Support annual budgeting, forecasting, and cash flow tracking with the CEO and external finance partners Serve as the primary contact for vendor relationships, purchasing, and contract coordination Oversee facilities and office operations in Holyoke, maintaining an efficient, well-supported workspace Support logistics for company events, travel, and visiting partners Identify opportunities to strengthen financial and operational systems as the company grows What You’ll Bring 4+ years of experience in finance, accounting, or operations; prior experience in a startup or small business required Solid understanding of GAAP and experience collaborating with external accounting and audit partners Proficient in payroll processing (experience with Gusto, ADP, or similar platforms) Organized, detail-oriented, and comfortable managing multiple priorities independently Strong systems thinker who brings structure and reliability to fast-moving environments Tech-forward, with experience using accounting and productivity tools (e.g., QuickBooks, Excel, G-Suite) Adaptable and team-oriented, with a “no job too big or small” mindset Motivated by purpose-driven work and supporting a collaborative, mission-focused culture What You’ll Love About Us Impactful Work: Help build the financial and operational backbone of a company driving agricultural innovation Professional Growth: Exposure to executive decision-making and company scaling from Series A to Series B Comprehensive Benefits: Health, vision, dental, and life insurance; optional 401(k); 3 weeks PTO; 12 weeks of 100% paid parental leave Location: Based in Holyoke, MA.
