Job Title: Finance Administrator
Location: Bury, Greater Manchester
Job Type: Part‑Time (15-20 hours per week)
Department: Administration
Reports To: General Manager

QUALIFICATIONS & SKILLS

· Previous experience in finance or accounting support, preferably within pharmaceuticals or regulated sectors
· Familiarity with Sage accounting software and strong proficiency in Excel
· Solid understanding of basic accounting principles and financial controls
· High attention to detail, with strong organizational and time-management abilities
· Demonstrated integrity in handling confidential information
· Awareness of pharmaceutical compliance (e.g., MHRA standards) is advantageous

Responsibilities

ROLE OVERVIEW

The Finance Administrator plays a pivotal role in supporting the company’s financial and administrative functions. Working closely with the Administration Manager, you’ll ensure accurate record-keeping, timely transaction processing, and adherence to regulatory standards appropriate for pharmaceutical operations.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Manage accounts payable and receivable, ensuring timely and accurate processing
  • Reconcile bank accounts, company credit cards, and supplier/vendor statements
  • Support monthly, quarterly, and year-end financial reporting and closing processes
  • Maintain orderly financial documentation and filing systems
  • Assist in budget tracking across departments and help monitor expenditures
  • Support payroll preparations and maintain employee financial records
  • Assist with statutory filings, such as VAT returns, and ensure compliance with relevant industry regulations
  • Help prepare for internal and external audits, providing requested documentation promptly
  • Collaborate with internal teams—production, quality, regulatory, purchasing—to resolve financial queries and support operational needs
