YOU’LL HAVE THE FOLLOWING SKILLS/EXPERIENCE:
· Maths qualification NVQ Level 2
· Strong attention to detail
· NHS experience (desirable)
· Ability to prioritise workload
· Competent with Microsoft office programmes including basic Excel skills
WHAT YOU’LL BE RESPONSIBLE FOR:
· To provide and maintain an efficient banking and administration service for the trust long term patients, to open accounts for patients if required and to be responsible for crediting/debiting each patient’s account.
· Receive all income from various sources including patients, cash registers, telephones, other departments, wards and relatives. To keep accurate records and to ensure all income is banked twice a week
· Responsible for receiving and returning patients’ property ensuring proper security procedures at all times
· Provide facilities for the cashing of patients’ giros, paying of patients’ fares and the petty cash
· Maintain the computer accounts
This role may require you to show evidence of vocational level 3 qualification or at least 2 years relevant experience.
