Responsibilities

ABOUT THE ROLE:

The role of Crime Command’s Business Services Division is to provide the management and coordination of business, human resource and administrative policy, practices and procedures that support Crime Command achieve its operational and strategic objectives. The Business Services Division contributes to building Crime Command capacity and capability through providing services such as:

  • budget and financial reporting;
  • business management advice and support;
  • governance reporting to inform decision making;
  • training and initiatives that support the development of our workforce;
  • human resource, general administrative, and support functions;
  • administration support to operational work units;
  • monitoring and managing risks; and
  • managing property and exhibits for the Spencer Street Property Centre

Crime Command requires an energetic and dynamic person to be part of the Budget & Finance Team.
The role will support the management of budget and financial reporting by undertaking a range of financial and administration transactional activities, support functions and human resource activities.
The role reports directly to the Finance Supervisor (Team Leader).

YOUR DUTIES WILL INCLUDE:

  • Undertaking accounts payable and receivable transactions such as creating purchase orders, invoice processing, requisitions, invoice requests, cash floats and banking.
  • Booking travel and accommodation.
  • Preparing journals and cost reallocations.
  • Preparing and auditing Memorandum of Understandings for the management of assignments.
  • Assisting with administration functions.
  • Undertaking audit and analysis of financial transactions.
