JOB SUMMARY:

This role involves working as part of the Finance Operations team where you will be reporting to the Assistant Operations Manager. You will be working closely with both internal and external stakeholders. This role is responsible for matching of receipts, processing cheques / Telegraphic Transfers, and monthly reconciliation and analysis of reports.

ESSENTIAL REQUIREMENTS:

• Hold a Diploma in Finance or Accounting
• Finance Operations environment with previous working experience in Insurance industry an advantage
• Fresh graduate may apply
• Excellent PC skills with a good working knowledge of Excel, Word and Power Point
• Experienced in handling volume transactions with manual processes
• Must be a team player
• Ability to communicate effectively with internal and external customers
• Hands-on, meticulous, and possess a positive attitude
• Must be able to work well under tight deadlines and manage multiple priorities with minimal supervision
• Strong aptitude for learning new technology and business/accounting procedures

• Responsible for monthly updating and reconciling of cash book and follow-up on bank reconciliation items
• Ensure unallocated receipts are matched on a timely basis.
• Working with Credit Control, Account Managers and external customers to resolve disputes to get unallocated receipts to an acceptable level
• Processing of claims, premium refund and commissions
• Assist Assistant Operations Manager in the preparation and analysis of monthly/quarterly operation reports and ensuring reports are delivered within the closing timeline
• Participate in process improvement projects which further enhance the efficiency of Finance Operations
• Perform other ad hoc tasks as assigned
