Mō te Tūranga | About the Role Our Enterprise Performance Team is part of our wider Finance Team, supporting and enabling the delivery of the BNZ Finance strategy. We have a 12month fixed-term opportunity for a Finance Analyst, playing a pivotal role in supporting the team to help the business make informed decisions. What are 5 day to day tasks the person in this role will complete? Review and complete regular accounting processes and being involved in preparing and analysing management reports. Transactional accounting, such as journals, cash transfers and monthly accounting. Responding to queries/requests from the business or other Finance teams. Continually looking at reviewing and transforming procedures. Provide support and actively participate towards the success of Finance related projects. What is the most exciting thing about this opportunity? The Analyst role is essential in providing accurate, efficient and timely support to the Finance team and the wider Bank. This is a fantastic opportunity to learn about banking and to transform processes. What attributes will this person display in order to be successful in this role? We’re looking for a team player with excellent communication and problem solving skills, as well as a drive for continuous improvement. You will demonstrate: Minimum of 2 years' experience in an analyst, accounting, or similar role within a business environment. Intermediate Microsoft Excel and/or Power BI skills, along with experience of data manipulation. You’ll be enthusiastic about a career within the Banking industry and keen to develop your Finance skills and experience. What is the team culture and environment like?
