Purpose of the Role As part of a newly awarded Victorian Government services portfolio, this newly created Finance Analyst role supports strong financial governance, transparency and value-for-money outcomes. Working closely with the FP&A Manager and broader contract leadership, you will provide thoughtful financial analysis, modelling and reporting to support informed operational and commercial decision-making across a large, diverse property portfolio. The role suits someone who enjoys creating clarity from data, values collaboration, and takes pride in supporting reliable, well-governed services at scale. Key Responsibilities Financial & Operational Analysis Analyse cost trends, service delivery patterns and operational drivers Evaluate financial impacts of operational and asset-related decisions Prepare monthly analysis for governance reporting and performance packs Model Building & Reporting Build and maintain financial models for forecasting, budgeting and scenario planning Develop Power BI dashboards to visualise financial trends and movements Prepare and manage datasets within Microsoft Fabric Business Partnering Partner with Operations, Procurement, Asset Management and leadership teams Support reviews of vendor performance, cost efficiency opportunities and financial risks Digital & Automation Enablement Develop automation workflows using Power Automate Contribute to continuous improvement of financial processes and reporting Education, Experience & Skills Essential: Strong analytical capability with experience in financial modelling Advanced Excel and Power BI skills Experience working with large datasets Clear, thoughtful communication and stakeholder engagement skills Confidence using digital systems and data-driven insights to support decisions Desirable: Experience in facilities management, government or service-based environments Exposure to automation tools or process improvement initiatives Curiosity for new technologies and continuous improvement Workplace Flexibility This role is based at the BGIS Melbourne CBD office, conveniently located close to public transport.
