Join BMT’s finance team as a finance analyst in or Brisbane office. The Finance Analyst will support the finance business partners in delivering quality business partnering to the APAC region by providing ongoing support in all areas of project reporting, modelling, forecasting and budgeting.

Responsibilities

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

In this role you will:

  • Support with the month end project reporting, to provide objective financial advice and opinions that positively impact the future choices of business units.
  • Develop financial models that support the business initiatives and growth costings.
  • Support the development of strategies and solutions to help maximise performance, manage risk, respond to issues, and grow the business.
  • Partner with different business functions and internal stakeholders, providing financial modelling to assess business strategies.
  • Assist in assessing project performance with project managers, understanding drivers for over/under performance.
  • Assist the Finance Business Partner in developing standards and guidelines for use within business units (both Finance & Project Management Office related).
  • Support in the yearly budgeting process.
  • Develop and maintain monthly forecasting processes.

To be successful in this role, you should have:

  • Undergraduate in Business with a CPA or CA qualification (or working towards that)
  • Minimum of 3 years demonstrated post-undergraduate experience
  • Demonstrated experience working with computerised accounting software
  • Advanced level of computer literacy including Microsoft Office suite of products, in particular Microsoft Excel
  • Proficient in data entry and management
  • Experience with project management accounting software
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently and autonomously
  • Strong interpersonal communication skills, including written and verbal
  • Unrestricted Right to Work in Australi
