About the role The Finance Analyst will provide high-quality financial analysis, insight, and reporting as a trusted Finance Business Partner across Construction, Hydro Assets, and Gas & Renewables Sustaining Capital portfolios. The role supports effective capital allocation, financial governance, and investment decision-making across a diverse portfolio of growth and sustaining capex initiatives, including: - Major construction and growth capital projects - Sustaining capital programs across Gas, Renewables, and Storage assets - Hydro generation assets (dams, power stations, waterways, and associated infrastructure) This role plays a key part in delivering transparent performance reporting, robust financial planning, and forward-looking insights to support both project delivery and long-term asset value. What You'll Be Doing Deliver financial planning, budgeting, and forecasting for construction, hydro, and sustaining capex portfolios Ensure robust financial governance and compliance activities across project phases and asset lifecycles Provide commercial insights and financial analysis to support investment and prioritisation decisions Prepare financial reporting and performance tracking for capital expenditure and sustaining programs Work with asset, project, engineering, and operations teams to support financial alignment Drive continuous improvement in capital and sustaining capex financial processes and systems Provide analytical support to the finance team across the capital and sustaining portfolio Provide key insight into board paper preparation What You'll Bring Tertiary qualification in accounting, finance, commerce, or a related discipline. CA or CPA qualified (or near completion) 4+ years experience in finance, accounting or commercial analysis, supporting month-end close, budgeting and forecasting. Demonstrated success in supporting stakeholders in a business partnering, reporting or analyst capacity. Good working knowledge of finance systems and ERP platforms, preferably SAP. Ability to present data and insights in a clear and easy-to-understand manner. Ability to build relationships and influence through quality analysis and communication.
