Why This Role Exists J4RVIS needs a single source of financial truth: operationally clean and commercially useful. This role sits between our internal operations and our external accounting firm, doing the pre-work that keeps our books accurate while layering on the analysis that gives Directors real visibility over profitability, margin, and budget performance. Get this right, and leadership makes better decisions faster. Get it wrong, and every downstream report is compromised. What You'll Be Doing Preparing company-wide and Service Line financial reporting, including profitability (Revenue, Cost of Sales, Gross Margin) for each Director Tracking budget performance and writing variance commentary that helps leadership manage spend Owning project financial tracking, flagging margin risk early so Delivery can course-correct Managing invoicing and Accounts Receivable end-to-end, keeping cash flow healthy Running bookkeeping pre-work (transaction coding, journals, reconciliations) that feeds cleanly into month-end close Overseeing expense and commission processing so everything reaching the external accountant is accurate and policy-compliant Acting as the day-to-day finance point of contact for Service Line Directors, Delivery, and Operations What We're Looking For Must-have: Three or more years in a finance role spanning transactional operations (bookkeeping, invoicing, AR, expenses) and commercial analysis (profitability, budgeting, variance) Experience in an IT services, technology consulting, or professional services business Demonstrated experience preparing management reporting for non-finance stakeholders Experience working alongside an external accountant or outsourced accounting function Strong grasp of core finance operations: bank reconciliations, transaction coding, journals, AR, and expense reconciliation Commercial analysis capability: building and interpreting profitability, budget-versus-actual, and forecast-to-complete reporting A degree in Accounting, Finance, Commerce, or a related field (or equivalent experience) Nice -to-have: Familiarity with Xero and a professional services PSA or project-costing tool Progress toward or completion of CPA/CA or equivalent Why Join J4RVIS Do meaningful work: Help shape real transformation for ambitious organisations.
