The Systems and Financial Administration team is responsible for overseeing NSW Health grants and ensuring it is compliant with policies, programs and guidelines to extend NSW Health’s services into communities. The team is responsible for implementing policies, procedures, systems, governance and risk minimisation strategies to ensure the transparent and robust administration of grants funding
The Finance Analyst, Systems and Financial Administration under the supervision of the Principal Finance Analyst, undertakes a range of financial and accounting activities in an Oracle R12 environment, including, management reports and budget development analysis, One off projects, NGO Grants, and reporting in line with accepted accounting standards. The role supports the Principal Finance Analyst, in providing insights and other analytical support services to a range of programs, projects and stakeholders to support meeting organisational and statutory objectives.
Crown Clerk 7/8, starting salary from $110,266 - $122,058 plus Super and annual leave loading, with a 35-hour work week.

WHAT YOU’LL BE DOING

  • Liaising with branches in the Ministry and the wider Health System in the implementation and maintenance of the grant system and other systems as required.
  • Assist the Principal Finance Analyst in the preparation and update of NGO Grant payments, administration and monthly reporting.
  • Assist the Principal Finance Analyst in the preparation of the reports to feed into the annual reporting process.
  • Collaborate and consult with key stakeholders to guide them in their, compliance with policies, and other duties as directed by the Principal Finance Analyst or the Director Financial Compliance.
  • Gatekeeping functions for various accounting transactions in the Ministry to ensure accuracy of coding and policy compliance.
