Summary: The Finance Analyst (Central Finance) is accountable for proving financial accounting, reporting & analysis working as part of the Central Functions team based in the GBS Bangalore, India. They will drive a culture of growth, data driven performance management and improvement, with a relentless focus on high quality financial analysis. This is a unique opportunity to join our GBS Finance team. Responsibilities Financial Accounting & Reporting: Coordinate the month end accounting close for a specific GBS Service area assigned. Ensure all the recharges have been processed in coordination with the relevant accounting team & counterparties. Work closely with the business finance partner, & finance manager along with other GBS teams to ensure books of accounts reflect a true & fair view of financials. Preparation of the Business Management Review decks for GBS and support the business partners with insights into the financials. Work with the Lead Finance Analyst- GBS to ensure that all project costs are moved to correct buckets with timely preparation of journals. Timely preparation of assigned Balance Sheet reconciliations with clear actions, ensuring the reconciliations meet the defined criterion as per corporate policy. Stake Holder Management Provide clear, concise, and regular updates to all identified stakeholders, both internal and external, and leadership. Provide clear financial analysis to GBS Leadership & Finance partner. Ability to summarize financial results for leadership & an attention to detail, ensuring high quality reporting for stakeholders. Risk, Compliance & Controls Maintain controls and procedures of Central Finance. Ensure 100% compliance with spreadsheet reviews, audit queries & internal control requirements. Timely and accurate closure of Audits findings and implement controls (if failures) immediately. Position requirements: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or related field. Qualified or Part Qualified Chartered Accountant (CA, CPA, ACCA) or equivalent 5+ years in accounting/GBS roles. SAP FI/CO, Blackline, understanding of intercompany and close processes. Advanced Excel skills preferred, including familiarity with macros. Understanding of financial accounting standards (IFRS, UK GAAP), statutory disclosures, and foreign currency translations. Process improvement mindset and adaptability to changing systems. Skills & Competencies Technical / Functional Knowledge: Understands the key step and core principle behind the re-charge process and applies standard procedures accurately. Seeks support for unfamiliar scenarios. Problem solving: Ability to identify and resolve the routine and ad-hoc issues using the established guidelines. Recognises when problems are outside their scope and escalates appropriately with relevant details. Accountability: Take ownership for assigned tasks and meets deadlines with accuracy, especially during the month-end closing process. Support the maintenance of a high standard of accuracy and escalates risks or errors in a timely and professional manner.
