We are looking for a skilled Finance Analyst to join our Finance, Strategy and Legal team. This role provides financial and commercial advice and support to the Development & Future Networks Division of AusNet. It includes managing financial results, forecasting, and budgeting. The role works closely with teams to support strategic initiatives, ensure clear and accurate financial reporting and analysis, and identify opportunities for efficiency and cost savings.
With a Hybrid split (Office/WFH), this role a permanent fixed-term position and is based in Southbank, Victoria and is part of the Commercial Finance team.

THIS ROLE WILL DELIVER REAL OUTCOMES, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO:

• Provide detailed financial analysis of actuals, forecasts, and budgets each month to support decision-making and provide insights.
• Collaborate with profit centre owners to create accurate and timely financial plans, budgets, and forecasts, ensuring P&L and capex forecasting processes meet senior management’s needs.
• Assist the Finance Business Partner in working with teams to provide strong, timely financial advice on accounting and financial matters.
• Develop financial models and analysis to support important business decisions.
• Work with business stakeholders to identify and resolve data integrity and process issues that impact financials.Identify and implement cost-saving initiatives that align with the company’s corporate and financial strategies.
