KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES

  • Business Partnering: End-to-end financial support for Outbound Logistics, Inbound Freight, and Warehousing.
  • Transaction Accounting: Ownership of budgeting, forecasting, and month-end reconciliations.
  • Reporting: Accurate and timely financial reporting with detailed commentary.
  • Insights & Performance: Track freight costs, identify discrepancies, and highlight cost leakage.
  • Decision Support: Evaluate supply chain projects and CI initiatives with robust financial analysis.
  • Governance: Maintain strong internal controls and support audit remediation.

IDEALLY 5 YEARS PLUS PROVEN EXPERIENCE IN FINANCE LOGISTICS AND FREIGHT FINANCE AND BUSINESS PARTNERING, WITHIN A LARGE-SCALE SUPPLY CHAIN ENVIRONMENT.

  • Strong understanding of logistics cost structures and rate/service dynamics.
  • Advanced Excel and financial modelling skills; SAP experience preferred.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
  • Analytical mindset with a drive for continuous improvement and operational excellence.
Responsibilities

ABOUT THE ROLE

Reporting to the Finance Manager – Supply Chain, you will be a key business partner to the Head of Logistics, Head of Warehouse, and other supply chain leaders. You’ll be involved in financial planning, analysis, and reporting, while also contributing to strategic projects and continuous improvement initiatives across the supply chain.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Drive the implementation and reporting of KPIs and critical metrics.
  • Develop and maintain financial models to support decision-making and cost optimization.
  • Drive forecasting and budgeting processes for freight and warehousing.
  • Deliver insightful weekly and monthly reporting with variance analysis.
  • Partner with procurement to analyze vendor rates and identify cost-saving opportunities.
  • Monitor financial performance and recommend corrective actions.
  • Support capital tracking, S&OP processes, and ad hoc financial analysis.
  • Ensure compliance with internal controls and audit requirements.
