This position supports key elements of the monthly close process while leading budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis activities across the organization. The role requires a high degree of independence, strong accounting judgment, and the ability to translate complex financial data into clear, actionable insights for senior leadership. The position also contributes to process improvement, internal controls, and cross-functional financial partnership. Key Responsibilities Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A) • Execute Annual budgeting, reforecasting, and long-range planning processes • Perform Monthly financial performance analysis, including variance analysis and root-cause explanations • Develop and maintain advanced financial models for revenue, operating expenses, headcount, capital expenditures, and strategic initiatives • Partner with department leaders and senior management to evaluate business performance and forecast future results • Prepare financial reporting packages, dashboards, and presentations • Provide financial insight and decision support for pricing, investments, cost optimization, and growth initiatives • Serve as the primary liaison with the sales team Month-End, Quarter-End, and Year-End Close • Execute significant components of the monthly, quarterly, and annual close processes • Prepare, review, and enter journal entries, accruals, and estimates requiring judgment • Perform and review balance sheet reconciliations and ensure timely resolution of variances • Analyze close results • Coordinate with accounting, payroll, and operational teams to ensure completeness and accuracy • Prepare documentation for auditors and tax advisors Process Improvement, Controls, and Systems • Lead initiatives to improve close efficiency, forecast accuracy, and reporting quality • Evaluate and implement improvements to financial systems, reporting tools, and automation • Support ERP upgrades, system integrations, and reporting enhancements • Establish and maintain best practices • Other Duties as assigned Qualifications Required • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or related field • 4+ years of progressive experience in FP&A, accounting, or a combined role (combined role strongly preferred) • Deep understanding of financial statements, accounting close, and forecasting methodologies • Advanced Excel and financial modeling expertise • Proven ability to manage deadlines, prioritize work, and operate independently • Strong communication skills • Demonstrated professional judgment and attention to detail Preferred • CPA, CMA, or equivalent professional certification • Experience in a complex or government regulated environments • ERP system expertise (GP Dynamics, Business Central, D365) • Experience with BI tools (Power BI, Tableau, Adaptive, Anaplan) What we offer At PHI, our success is powered by people and technology.
