OVERVIEW

We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Accounting and Finance Manager to join our fiscal team. This job will be to provide accounting and financial control work for the Fiscal Department by managing, planning, and organizing the activities of the fiscal services that include but are not limited to Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Budgeting, Accounting, Payroll, Internal Controls, and Cost Accounting. The manager will work closely with the Chief Financial Officer and Public Health Administrator/Chief Executive Officer to ensure the financial growth and success of the Whiteside County Health Department and the Whiteside County Community Health Clinic.

SKILLS

• Excellent managerial skills and ability to evaluate the work of others.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Working knowledge of financial practices and procedures, as well as a thorough understanding of state and federal rules and regulations.
• Proficient with accounting software and standard office and accounting equipment.

REQUIREMENTS

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance required or related degree.
• Five (5) years of increasingly responsible experience in budgeting and accounting, including at least three (3) years in a supervisory capacity, preferably in a healthcare setting.
