Description

Job Title: Associate - Finance and Accounts Department: Accounts and Finance Location: Kolkata (In Office) Experience: 2-3 years, preferably in a SaaS or technology company Job Overview: As a Finance and Accounts Executive, you will support day-to-day accounting, financial reporting, compliance and operational finance activities. The role requires hands-on experience with bookkeeping, statutory compliances, invoicing and coordination with auditors and internal stakeholders. We are looking for a candidate who demonstrates a passion for handling accounting tasks, such as invoicing, bank reconciliations, payments, and receivables. Additionally, you should possess excellent organizational skills and be able to handle time-sensitive tasks. Responsibilities Maintain books of accounts in accounting software. Record journal entries, accruals, provisions and month-end closures. Reconcile bank statements, vendor accounts and customer ledgers. Raise timely customer invoices as per agreement and billing cycles. Dispatch through courier and electronic mail of invoices to all the clients. Track deferred revenue and revenue recognition in line with Ind AS / company policy. Regular payment follow-ups for due invoices and and coordinate with the sales and operations team as required for contract-to-cash processes.. Maintain customer invoicing master records, service contracts and keep track of billing milestones. Track receivables, follow up on collections and prepare ageing reports. Process vendor invoices and ensure timely payments. Handle expense reimbursements and employee claims. Support preparation of MIS reports and management dashboards. Prepare Bank Reconciliation Statements and Cash Flow Statements. Assist in statutory, tax and internal audits. Requirements Qualified accountant (B.Com / M.Com); CA Inter drop out and not pursuing further education. Knowledge of financial fundamentals & accounting standards. Hands-on experience with accounting software and MS Office. Good understanding of SaaS revenue models and subscriptions. Should possess excellent time management and communication skills. Very strong ethics, with an ability to manage confidential data.
