Are you a finance, accountancy or business student looking for opportunities to grow experience while completing your studies?
We offer a casual role, on a flexible 2-3 days per week to fit around your studies with a 10-11am start. We are seeking a positive, quick learning individual who is a clear communicator, well organised with high attention to detail.
You must be willing to learn and skill up quickly as an Accounts / Admin Assistant in a fast paced team environment.
Tangelo is a growing IT Managed Services Provider (MSP) established for 19+ years, serving Australian, and international IT and Security industry sectors.
We are a flexible, progressive team with a positive, friendly work environment.
The role will be remunerated in line with the applicable NSW Award and experience level of the candidate, and there is opportunity to progress to permanent part time, with further assignments within the company for the right candidate.

Finance and administrative duties include:

  • Invoicing for IT support, projects and online subscriptions, and liaising with customers for account collection
  • Tracking payments and receipts and updating company systems
  • Processing supplier bills and payments
  • Performing bank reconciliation in Xero (online accounting software)
  • Maintaining multiple company tracking documents including cashflow
  • Generating management reports using Xero and other business systems
  • Assist with End of Month / Quarter internal processes
  • Liaise with external Tax accountants for monthly GST IAS and quarterly GST BAS reconciliation process or other external Tax accounting requirements

Additionally:

  • Assist with generation of quotes and client account management reports
  • Assist with preparation of other general documents and reports
  • Respond to and refer queries as appropriate
  • Occasional secretarial duties

Required skills:

  • Intermediate level or above Excel skills
  • Basic Xero / accounts experience

The following skills will be highly regarded:

  • Understanding of company accounting procedures
  • Experience professionally engaging with clients or suppliers

The ideal candidate will be able to work independently and possess energy to go above and beyond core duties when required. On the job handover and training will be provided.
Office hours are Monday to Friday 8.30am to 5.30pm though this role can start at 10-11am. Our office is based near the train line in Hurstville.
