Description Position: Finance and HR Manager Status: Full time, exempt Reports to: Pastor Description: St. Peter Catholic Church in Kansas City, Missouri is seeking a qualified Business Manager to oversee the financial, human resources, and facilities operations of both the parish and school. This is a full-time leadership position reporting directly to the Pastor. Responsibilities: Manage all financial operations, including accounting, budgeting, financial reporting, and compliance for the parish and school. Oversee payroll, employee benefits, and human resource functions. Prepare the annual budget and generate periodic financial reports for the parish and the Diocese. Maintain accurate records of parishioner contributions and related data. Supervise maintenance staff and manage all building and grounds operations. Coordinate facility repairs, renovations, and new construction projects. Schedule and manage facility usage and rental agreements. Ensure compliance with safe environment policies and volunteer requirements. Collaborate with the Pastor and leadership team in developing and implementing long-term strategic plans. Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities: Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Strong organizational and planning abilities. Professionalism, discretion, and a high degree of confidentiality. Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a mission-driven environment. Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, business administration, or a related field (or equivalent professional experience). Minimum of 5 years of experience in accounting or financial management. Proficiency in accounting software and database systems. Strong skills in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel. Prior supervisory or management experience. Knowledge of or familiarity with Catholic parish or school operations is preferred.
