JOB DESCRIPTION

Untold Narratives CIC works with writers who are structurally marginalised by community or conflict, to develop and amplify their work. We support these writers to develop their writing, share their stories with wider communities in their own languages, and reach new global audiences in translation. We’re a small, agile and fast-growing social enterprise looking for an experienced and organised co-ordinator to manage our finances and administration.
As Untold’s Finance and Office Co-ordinator, you’ll be the go-to person for all things money-related. You’ll work closely with the CIC’s Director and accountant to make sure financial systems are accurate, up to date, and compliant.

OFFICE ADMINISTRATION:

  • Compiling agenda /papers & minutes for CIC Board meetings.
  • Regular liaising with funders, partners and Untold’s freelance team.
  • Filing / Share Point organisation.
  • Generating freelance contracts / agreements.
  • Managing Untold’s various subscriptions.
  • Updating details for Companies House and bank account management.
  • Keeping track of invites / RSVPs for any Untold events, spreadsheets etc.
  • Replying to general email queries via website.
  • Drafting job descriptions / advertising, when necessary.
  • Travel bookings, visa research and co-ordination where necessary.

SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:

  • Experience of maintaining accurate financial records.
  • Experience and knowledge of Xero accounting software package (or equivalent).
  • Experience of Microsoft office, particularly Excel, and SharePoint.
  • Experience of bookkeeping and financial management of a charity or CIC.
